After a decade of production, the Hummer H2 was introduced in 2001 as the next stage of evolution of the first or the Hummer H1. And in the second quarter of 2005, Hummer, it evolved again, as the H3′s. You may be wondering what the difference between the H3 Hummer and the first two incarnations. For starters, this H3 has a 3.5L Vortec cylinder inline engine that can provide 220 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 225 lb.-ft. of torque at 2800 rpm. Hummer H3 gets about 20 MPG and are equipped with either manual or automatic transmission – first time buyers have a choice.

Hummer H3 also has a four-wheel drive with a fully locking rear differential. Underbody protection, traction control and GM’s StabiliTrak vehicle stability-improvement system makes it even more reliable and secure. The new Hummer H3 can be made through 16 inches of water flowing at 20 mph, or 24 inches of water running 5 mph. GM also claims the Hummer H3 will go up 16-inch steps and rocks, and offers two types of tires – tires Bridgestone 33-inch or 32-inch Goodyear, all-terrain tires.

Then there’s the interior optional features – with heated leather seats, front bucket seats and 60/40 split rear seats, a power sliding roof, DVD-based navigation radio, four audio systems compatible with GM’s On Star system and XM satellite radio, power windows and door locks with lockout protection, a rear window electric defogger, power-adjustable outside mirrors manually folding rearview mirror, mirror self-dimming rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature indicator, and three 12-volt auxiliary covered power outlets, two are located at the front and one in the cargo area.

system of four-wheel drive Hummer H3 is the Borg-Warner two-speed, electrically controlled, full-time four-wheel drive system with 2.64:1 ratio gear reduction in low range, there is also another version with a 4.03:1 ratio for primary control on obstacle-climbing. Both versions have a lot of operating modes for all driving situations.

Hummer H3 off-road ability of more than H1 and H2, with 37 feet behind the cycle, 9.1-inch ground clearance, maximum break over angle 25 degrees when 33-inch tires are used, the maximum angle approaches 40 degrees and maximum departure angle 37 degrees.

When it comes to the frame and suspension, the Hummer H3 has a three-piece modular frame to increase strength. Torsion bar front suspension is independent, just like the rear, which uses semi-elliptic leaf springs. Standard equipment includes skid plates for protection from the steering link, and rocker panel protectors Hummer offers an optional chassis-bottle.

H3 features traction control and ABS breaking system, and steering the wing with a ratio of 17:01. Anti-lock breaking systems using Dynamic Rear Its proportion to help control the break behind in the panic-stop situation. Traction and control of the H3 works in combination with engine control systems and violated to provide maximum traction with minimum wheel spin regardless of the condition.

Highlight the exterior of the Hummer H3, including swing rear door with fixed glass, plus standard rear wiper and defogger. And, the first time from the Hummer, H3 features a swing gate-mounted spare to maximize interior cargo space. H3 also offers stamped-steel front and rear bumper bars, standard front tow hooks and welded-on rear bumper recovery hooks.

This new Hummer H3 is also loaded with safety features, including a safety cage passenger compartment of reinforced; frame, fully welded ladder-type accidents to improve performance and off-road capability; standard system dual front airbags, optional rail-mounted, side-curtain air bags , daytime running lamps, remote keyless entry, battery rundown protection, tire pressure monitoring systems and electronic anti-theft vehicle security system. The new Hummer H3 can not create a splash with H1 and H2, but a vehicle that enables you to maneuver in heavy city traffic and still promising off-road capability.

To say that the prototype is being well received is a statement – frankly if the Challenger is available for sale today will be a waiting list months long. That demands for retro car that takes styling cues from the ’71 Challenger appropriate. As currently stands, the car will be built as DaimlerChrysler has been a blessing to the new Challenger.

However, the Challenger is more than three years from being manufactured as they may be released some time during the year 2009 as 2010 models. Yes, the wait will be difficult for many people, but if the hype with the performance then waits would be worth your while. Some who opposed the revolution, the whole retro car? Citing that Detroit must reach back in time to make relevant cars is a proof of each automaker’s woes. Instead, I’m sure many revived model is currently being planned or already in our streets is a clear testimony to Detroit finally listening to customers: we want a car that unique style and we want them to do exactly what you will say that they will perform. No fake hood scoop, no heralded model name slapped on a car that pales compared with the original. No, we do not want you to build the original model we want you to build the original model better. Take the styling cues and run with them and incorporate modern technology to improve the original design. That’s all we ask. So, just what can fans expect when they deliver their Challenger? Well, as I said the car was still in the planning stages, but what I gained from the various sites is the following information:

Modification Platform – If you like the Mercedes based LX platform currently used to run the Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum and Dodge Charger then the LY platform will suit you well. DCX plans to modify the LX platform for the next generation of vehicles and the LY based Challenger will be one car that was built on top of it. Some people suggest that the LY will be the LX on steroids, whatever that means.

Did Someone Say hemi? – Every Mopar product of significance will have optional Challenger HEMI power and not the exception. Expect a V6 to be standard with the HEMI V8 is optional for the performance version of the car. Some people suggest that h.p. 425 SRT 6.1L V8 will also be available for the Challenger.

Ragtop regalia – Chrysler Sebring said that only offer a conversion, but that leaves Dodge dealers without a soft top for [market other than the Viper, of] course. Although this bit of information, seeking conversion of the Challenger appears one or two years after the debut of the car. Heck, if DCX does not want to build one then aftermarket coach builders will do the job for them. You can bet that Dodge dealers will make these arrangements if DCX does not.

Yes, the Challenger will not be in the new car showroom in the near future. For those of us waiting with “breathe bait” we must console ourselves with the many blogs, sites, and car shows hyping the car. In addition, imagine your shiny new Challenger stopped at a traffic light with a Mustang on one side and a Camaro on the other hand…

A blur of forest and land slide by as you spin in all directions with mud surrounding your truck as if you have been hit by a tornado which consists of the earth’s tight and water, of course, is an attractive option. And, indeed, may be an option. But there are other things that may, unfortunately, can not be ignored. Sometimes you need to work. And unless your office is located well off the highway, with a small portion known manner and covered the road, well then you may need to consider the handling of your vehicle and driving under some conditions.

It’s not always glamorous, but the truth is 4×4 tires you may be up for quite dry, smooth surfaces. But, that does not mean that you will not be ready for anything. Other practical purposes to have a 4×4, and 4×4 tires that go with it, are things like slippery conditions because of snow or mud depending on where you live and drive. But this is why you can get it all with All Terrain tires, like those used by your 4×4.

You can reduce the discomfort that ride on or off road mud tires, like driving on a noisy road which may appear as undulating as if you’re really off road and also undesirable aspects, such as fuel efficiency is greatly reduced. But, yet, ready for when you know (or more importantly if you do not know), you’ll want good traction and grip of your 4×4 tires. The name says it all, you will be able to handle all terrain, but do not want you to have something different on your 4×4.

It is a very common occurrence. We see then every day. Its like a disease – yellow, cloudy headlight lenses. I even saw them on cars at the local carwash. It befuddled me that these people would take such great care – washing, vacuuming the interior, removing the floor mats and even hand drying their cars, but they still had those yellowed, cloudy headlights. It’s not just a problem on old, very used cars. It is prevalent on 2 – 3 year old cars also. It doesn’t matter if it is a Dodge, Ford, Mercedes, or a Porsche.

When questioned, most said they couldn’t afford, or didn’t want to pay the high prices of replacements from their local auto dealer. The average price for a pair of replacement plastic headlights at local auto dealerships was around $450 – that didn’t even include installation and alignment (that would be another $60-120). Aftermarket headlights do exist, but have received mixed reviews, and the savings aren’t that great, quality and fit is lagging, and then you still had to have them installed and aligned. And for what so you can do it again in another year or two?

There is another solution; there is a patented headlight cleaner and restorer kit. It’s under $20, much less expensive than replacement lenses, and it works! Plastic headlight lenses are the norm in the automotive industry now – every car has them. Some have fancy names like plexan and Lexan, but they all have the same problems. The sun, acid rain, harsh weather conditions, chemicals (brake fluid, power steering fluid, hot radiator fluids, hot water, harsh cleaners, etc…) will all cause the plastic lenses to degrade and weaken quickly. Some manufacturers have gone to including a protective film on the lenses. Regardless, they are all susceptible to this weakening and yellowing over time.

With this headlight cleaner and restorer even junk yard car lenses have been restored to brand new. These same lenses used to be discarded and now have become new profit centers for salvage yards all over. The treatment is applied to the exterior of the headlight lens where the damage is worst and it doesn’t take a mechanic to do it. It is easy to do, doesn’t take very long, and the results are fantastic. So there is a very economic solution to the problem of yellow, cloudy, worn headlights. There’s no excuse now to not have sparkling clean headlights. Car dealerships everywhere are using headlight cleaner and restorer on their cars and you can too.

Since its inception, the market of used cars has suddenly escalated at an unprecedented rate for the past few years. In fact, surveys show that the number of people who buy used cars is almost tripled when compared to the number of people who buy new cars. That is why many people are enticed to buy used cars because it is gradually becoming a trend in the car buying industry. However, it does not necessarily mean that buyers will just take the process of selecting used cars for granted.

Hence, it is important to take note of the ways to check the car prior to the closure of the deal. Therefore, for people who wish to know the different ways on checking the condition of the used car, here are some pointers:

1. Test drive

There is no better way to check the condition of the car than to do a test drive. In this way, the buyer will be able to know the actual condition of the car and its parts like the brakes, accelerator, etc. Also, the buyer will be able to detect at once if there are some “clunks” and rattles on the used car, even if the test drive is just a short trip.

2. Personal inspection

Aside from test-driving, it is also important for the buyer to personally inspect the details of the body make-up and its condition. In this manner, the buyer will be able to identify any signs of rusts and damages, the condition of the tires, oil leaks, etc.

3. Mileage check

Usually, an average user or driver will consume 12,000 to 15,000 miles in a year. In this way, the buyer will be able to know the approximate age of the car by looking at its mileage.

4. Mechanic check

Another way of checking the condition of a used car prior to its purchase is to seek the help of a mechanic. This may cost the buyer some charges but the money would surely be spent for a good cause. The mechanic is the best person who could instantly assess technically and professionally the condition of a certain car.

5. CARFAX Report

Knowing the history of the car is also one of the best ways to know the real condition of the car. Hence, it is important for the buyer to seek the help of CARFAX report in order to know the full details of the used car’s history. Take the proper steps and research your purchase. Doing so will guarantee a happy car buying experience.
